After all my wiping and polishing this is the result – 19 of the 39 possible LEGO monofigures. I really like how they look all collected together. These were the colors that I found easiest to collect, but I did start out with selection of less common colors that I had gathered when making my Ninjago Elemental Masters. Yellow proved surprisingly elusive. I didn’t own any naked minifigures and whenever I was buying other items from BrickLink, the stores I was buying from never seemed to have the lower half available. The yellow hip piece was only used on a few minifigures and they are all on the older side. I’m sure one will turn up soon.
Above is an image of them all labeled with their BrickLink color names. I used the BrickLink color names instead of the LEGO official color names because that is how I collected them. I also mounted them all on two 2×4 plates (or the equivalent) of the same color. I like this look for display but my favorite part of collecting monofigures is posing them in different ways.
I also enjoyed collecting matching accessories and hairpieces for them. I tried to pick things that there were unusual in some way or that there was more than one color of so I could make sub-sets, like the hoods and guitars. That part is really still a work in progress.
And now, onward! To expand the collection.
